Fall time is here! And, frankly, it couldn't come soon enough.

Sure, the summer is great and all, but Northeast Ohio is most enchanting when the breeze is cool, the leaves are falling, bonfires are sparked and apple cider hits store shelves.

Need to get out? Check-in with Stage Left Community Arts Center for the following fall-time events!

In Stitches

Mondays at 7 - 8:30 PM in the Green Room

Bring your crochet, knit or handiwork projects to share and visit. We each take turns bringing cookies to share, and the keurig is there to brew some cocoa or coffee. If you don’t know how to crochet or knit but want to learn, our friendly group will teach you and keep you “in stitches” as you learn. Knit or crochet a scarf for the upcoming winter or to give as a holiday gift. No fee for the group. We keep a jar on the table for donations to our Leap of Faith Dance Studio Scholarship Fund. Email StageLefftSeats@gmail.com for more information.

Kid Artists- Inspired by Matisse

Saturday, October 23 from 1 - 3 p.m.

Ten kids in grades 6-9 will enjoy two hours of creative painting and sipping cider (or apple juice) with Artist and Educator Jacob Ward who will share the wonder of autumn's apples, Henri Matisse style.

We"ll have your easel, canvas and paint ready for you on the Trinity Playhouse stage, and two hours later you will leave with your apple painting, and a better understanding and appreciation for the art of master Henri Matisse.

Our class size is limited to 10. We are seeking sponsors for our participants.

To sponsor a Kid Artist, make your tax deductible donation here.

Autumn Paint & Sip with Jacob Ward (adults)

Saturday, October 23 from 7 - 9:30 p.m.

Stage Left’s resident artist Jacob Ward will lead novice painters in an autumn expression on canvas with acrylics. He says, “You can go home with your personal painting of moonlit pumpkins to display through Thanksgiving. All the while, you can sip a little vino for inspiration. $45 fee includes all supplies and 1 ticket for a glass of wine. Additional wine tickets may be purchased for $5 each.

Painters will pick up a glass of wine and head to the stage to find a welcoming space with canvas, easel, paint and our friendly teacher, Jacob Ward ready and waiting.

Gallery Sippers will pick up a glass of wine, and head to the cheese & crackers. Then find a friend and a seat in one of our historic pews to visit, listen to the music, and enjoy the art as it's created on stage.

*NOTE: $5 per additional wine ticket.

(limited to 12 painting participants. Sipping partners are welcome. Email StageLefftSeats@gmail.com for more information)

THANK YOU for supporting Stage Left Players in our expanded vision. You helped us survive when the doors to the Trinity Playhouse were shut during the pandemic. And thanks again to YOU, we are reopening the doors with an EXPANDED MISSION: to provide a safe space to nurture performers, directors, designers, artists, makers and writers of all ages and abilities who work together to create community.

Updated: Oct 12, 2021

Poof! It's a new website! It's like magic! In all seriousness, Stage Left Players have been part of the Northeast Ohio community theater tradition for decades. With the refocus of Stage Left and the Trinity Playhouse from an exclusively live entertainment venue into a broader arts center model, we felt it was important to freshen up the website.

Most of the things you knew and loved about the old site are here. If they're not, they'll be coming back soon. Please be patient because "we're building the plane as we fly it" so to speak.

You'll notice some changes over the next few weeks as kinks are worked out, new pages are added and additional resources are made available to us AND to our users.

Thanks again.

Don't Panic!
